Hey friends! Welcome to episode 100!!!! Yay! This is a milestone for sure and I’m so proud to have brought you 100 episodes of information, support, wisdom and hopefully some laughs. This podcast has been a labor of love for sure and I have loved being with you every week. It is lovely here in Minnesota and the birds are making themselves known with their springtime songs. I love taking Miss Daisy out for walks, especially in the mornings when they are so actively chirping. Cardinals are my favorite I think because they have so many different songs. Plus, I can see them quickly because the male is such a bright shade of red.
So today I’m making a very bittersweet announcement. I’m pausing my podcast for now. It’s time for me to take a little break and figure out my own next phase. My dad’s mental health continues to deteriorate with his Alzheimer’s and that is taking up a lot of mental and emotional space for me. And most of you know, my own transition to creating a single life after a very long marriage has its ups and downs for sure. I feel the need to slow down and go within to see what my next steps are.
I’ve been doing a lot of listening – to my clients, my friends and my own intuition and I’ve realized something. My business wants to be something else. I want it to be something else. I need more connection, deeper conversations – and way more fun. I have an idea of what I’ll be offering so let me share it with you.
One of the common themes with my private coaching clients is that they don’t have enough time to do the things that really matter to them – which is spending time with family and friends. They are so busy with work and all the commitments they’ve agreed to, that they don’t take the time to fill their own cups. I remember that feeling and it was so lonely. I longed for rich conversations with high caliber women, connection and laughter. I heard on the news that the US is the loneliest society on the planet, and no wonder. Too much strive and drive and not enough space to be ourselves.
There’s more to life and I want you to expand into that.
That’s why I decided to create those connection times here where I live. I’m calling them the More to Life Dinners and the first one will be on May 30th at 5:30p.m. We need more connection time, don’t you agree? We need to laugh more, you know, like when your sides hurt, and you think you might pee your pants. And it doesn’t just happen on its own. You have to decide to prioritize meeting new friends and leave the comfort of your evening routine to venture out and see what’s possible. So, come spend an evening with me and other women who are interesting, funny and fab. I have all the details ready so email me at hello@barbarachurchill.com and I’ll send you the link to get your ticket. When you register, please make sure you let me know if you have any food sensitivities, too.
I’ve also decided to expand my coaching services and I’ve created the More to Life Inner Circle. This year long program will meet twice a month and be an opportunity for you to explore and get support for your next phase. This intimate group of 8-10 likeminded women will become the playground for you to share ideas, brainstorm, get feedback, be held accountable for your dreams – all while making new friends. One of the things I love about women is that we support each other and believe in each other-especially in times when self-doubt kicks in. I’ll still be coaching 1:1, so that will be an option for you as well if a group setting isn’t calling to you.
And as I prepare to go to Paris for my birthday, the travel bug has bitten me hard. I have a very strong desire to see parts of the world and Europe is high on my list. I love immersing myself in different places, eating their food, learning about their culture and maybe picking up some of their language. This next phase for me must include travel and adventure. That’s nonnegotiable. And I’d love to have you come along for the time of your life. So, I’m going to be hosting the More to Life Retreats in 2025/2026. Where would you like to go? What do you want to see? What is possible for you, my friends? You have this one life – are you living it to its fullest? Give yourself permission to see just how good it can get.
One of the things I teach my clients is to capture their thoughts/feelings in a journal because it’s a great way to record a snapshot of the moments they are experiencing. It’s also a beautiful way to take a look back at where you were and how far you’ve come. I’ve been reading past entries in my own journals and am so proud of how I’m handing all this change. It’s not easy, not even close. And it’s so necessary to become the woman I know is inside me. I want to help you do the same. I want to show you, through my life, how it can be done. I want to show you that changes can be a good thing – even the ones that bring you to your knees. I want to explore and discover and show you just what’s possible. I want to show you that life as you know it right now can be more than you can imagine.
So, I invite you to stay subscribed, because this is a break, not a breakup. I’d also like to invite you to subscribe to my email community so we can stay in touch and I can share what’s happening in my world and tips to becoming the most authentically brilliant you ever.
It has been my great pleasure to be with you each week. Please reach out to share your dreams and successes. I always love hearing from you.
And so, until next time my beautiful friends, remember:
I believe in you.
